A centre where young people find security, stability, and opportunities to grow and share skills.
Thriving in adversity
Arusha is home to thousands of young people. Many families have moved from rural areas to the city in search of better livelihoods, yet life here remains challenging. Only a few can provide quality education and stable support for their children’s future. As they grow older, supporting them becomes increasingly difficult, and many young people find themselves on their own.
Rapid population growth and ongoing economic instability have created fierce competition and limited opportunities. The transition from childhood to adulthood is therefore a critical and often difficult stage: one that can determine whether a young person builds a secure, hopeful future or faces the risks of unemployment, addiction, or crime.
Together for a brighter future
Jithubutu Center was created for this defining stage in a young person’s life. As the only center in Arusha dedicated specifically to supporting youth on their journey to independence, we focus on listening, empowering, and guiding them as they build their futures with confidence and determination.
