“We ended the year with the incredible collaboration of Adela, Alessia, Lorenzo and Lili”
Volunteers who give/donate their time, energy, joy and knowledge to a generation of young people full of enthusiasm for learning and taking advantage of new opportunities to be able to opt for a better future.
Workshops on cutting bottles and making lamps
Recycling is a core value for us. We try to teach our members the importance of reducing waste and reusing materials. In doing so, our beneficiaries learn how to cut and decorate glass safely, which improves their employability in craft jobs; while they have also learned basic electrical concepts.
Workshops to make bracelets, earrings, key chains and other decorative materials, using Kitenge
In Tanzania, there is a strong tradition of wearing necklaces, bracelets and earrings. Therefore, teaching our members to produce them means giving them the opportunity to start their own business to support themselves. This is especially crucial for young women, who otherwise rely mainly on their husbands’ income. Learning is empowering!
New mental health workshop by Milou and Jacque
With a very interesting 4-day program that covered: Discover your values, grow your self-esteem, learn to manage stress and think positively. You cannot imagine the great positive impact that these workshops have had on our young people.
New intensive Spanish course
Thanks to Adela, our last volunteer of the year, we have been able to extend the daily intensive Spanish course for the month of October for 3 more weeks.
Excursions to practice the Spanish language in a fun and healthy way.
