Thousands of young people live in the city of Arusha. The parents of most of them migrated to the city from rural areas in search of job opportunities to make a better living. Like in any African countries, the job market is not always prepared to absorb a population that rows exponentially year after year. This, combined with situations of family instability and lack of role models to encourage them in their daily struggles, increases the risk of seeking refuge in addiction.
It is in this context that the idea of creating a space where young people can find security, stability, and collaborate with each other to achieve these goals emerges. The most important aspect is to break the monotony of a hopeless future. Jithubutu is born with the intention of bringing about a change in the lives of those young people who feel incapable of taking risks and breaking down the barriers that hold them back.
In this endeavour, everyone contributes their bit. Each person brings their skills and abilities together. Day by day, we see that sharing what each person knows how to do is a way to grow together and make them feel valued.
Young people being proactive and actively participating in social, economic, and cultural opportunities to enhance their own development.
To envision a generation of young individuals embracing optimism for their future and actively contributing to the well-being and progress of their communities.
