Music & Creativity

Musical creativity is a powerful tool for personal development. It not only nurtures imagination and self-expression, but also strengthens cognitive skills, builds self-confidence, and promotes social interaction.

Engaging in creative musical activities can be a source of fulfillment and personal growth on multiple levels.

In Tanzania, music is part of the cultural heritage. Through it, ancestral values and knowledge are transmitted. This strengthens the sense of community, social cohesion and respect for history and traditions. It is the most natural way to ensure global musical diversity and cultural enrichment for future generations.

Dance

Dance is a form of expression to convey emotions, stories, or ideas. It is a universal language that transcends cultural and linguistic barriers, allowing people from different backgrounds to communicate and connect with each other.

Dance has numerous benefits for both physical and mental health, reducing stress and anxiety, boosting self-confidence, and enhancing social skills.

It is also an art form that has inspired and entertained people for centuries, from ancient rituals and ceremonies to modern performances and competitions.

Foreign Languages

Foreign languages offer numerous benefits, both personal and professional. They enable individuals to communicate with people from different cultures and backgrounds, expanding their social and professional networks. Learning a foreign language also enhances cognitive and problem-solving skills, as well as memory and concentration.

It can open new doors to career opportunities, particularly in tourist companies and organizations that require employees with language skills. In addition, studying a foreign language offers a greater understanding and appreciation of other cultures, promoting empathy and inclusivity. It also provides an opportunity for personal growth and enrichment, allowing individuals to experience new cultures with ease.

Overall, studying foreign languages is a rewarding and valuable investment in both personal and professional development.

A Library

We offer young people a library service with which they can benefit from reading books on a wide variety of topics and in different languages. Access to books is a way to encourage them to develop intellectually and psychologically.

Every book we read offers us endless opportunities to explore and learn new ideas. When we read, we not only gain information and knowledge, but it helps us expand our vocabulary and increase our ability to communicate effectively.

Chat Sessions

Conversation sessions are intended for those who want to use and improve their speaking and listening skills in different languages.

The main objective of the conversation is to express ideas in a group and feel listened to and valued apart from improving the language used.

When students are given the freedom to work together to develop ideas and ways of expressing them, they use the tools of learning, namely language and thought.

As students talk with each other, they see how the rest of the class thinks and feels. It is about being able to express one’s own feelings and learning to value the opinion of other classmates. Thus, we enter a dynamic in which empathy appears that allows people to connect with others and establish better relationships.

Conversations offer excellent opportunities to learn what students know and can do, as well as who they are and who they want to be.

Board Games

Playing board games is entertaining, but it also exercises a series of essential intellectual capacities for personal development.

Board games stimulate cooperation and activate brain areas responsible for memory formation; help
to practice essential cognitive skills such as decision-making, higher-level strategic thinking, and problem-solving.

Besides, the time they share together is time used to strengthen relationships and a sense of team away from the harmful environment of the street.

Painting

Painting is a form of artistic expression. It is one of the oldest art forms dating back to prehistoric times when humans used natural materials like charcoal, clay, ochre, and animal fat to decorate caves and rocks. Painting is often used to convey emotions, ideas, or tell a story.

It can range from realistic or representational to completely abstract, utilizing a wide variety of techniques and styles.

Paintings have the ability to transport viewers to other worlds, evoke feelings, and capture moments in time.

They also hold tremendous cultural and historical significance, providing insights into the personality and creativity of various artists and civilizations.

Workshops, events & Hand woodwork

Hand woodworking is the craft of shaping and creating objects using hand tools such as saws, chisels, planes, and hammers. It offers a unique tactile experience and creative freedom, allowing the creation of a range of objects, from furniture to decorative items. Hand woodworking works with both hardwood and softwood and requires good craftsmanship skills and attention to detail.

Although power tools have become more popular, hand woodworking remains a valuable and respected craft practiced by experts and hobbyists alike.

We encourage young people to improve their skills through workshops and various activities.

This way, young people broaden their horizons and can have access to better job opportunities.

Additionally, we host events that provide them with valuable experience and visibility.
