We are a commitment to personal development in Arusha, Tanzania
About our Project
Jithubutu, an urban centre in the city of Arusha, where young people, through free activities such as dance, entrepreneurship workshops, language classes, a computer room, a library and board games, can share time and exchange skills.
Jithubutu is a Swahili word meaning dare. But dare what? Jithubutu means a change of mentality; means daring to a new way of life where the future is a horizon with a perspective of change, growth and personal development.
And it is thanks to this mentality that the Cultural and Social Centre has made it possible for people to freely share their experiences and knowledge so that everyone can grow thanks to mutual help.
This implies providing infrastructure and material resources to create a safe, relaxed and friendly environment in which young people can take advantage of the time away from the harmful environment of the street.
Serve as a launching pad for new talents in dance, music, urban art and audiovisual creation. Each of the events we hold are shared on social networks to give young people the visibility they need.
Provide access to culture and help young people improve their skills through workshops and diverse activities. This way, young people broaden their horizons and can pursue better job opportunities.
Help occupy the time of young people by encouraging them to share knowledge and use their time efficiently. The challenge is to keep them off the street and from the risk of falling into addictions.
